My horrendous fire drill of a day:
- up at 6, walked usual amount, narrowly missing skunks
- Mouse to school
- coffee with sari and marci (haven't seen sari all year, marci just
back from australia and jet-lagged)
- 2 banks, ATM & drive-thru
- post office, Al has been replaced by a cool machine! >:->>
- car wash, jeep, holes in doors allow inside to get a bath too
- meijer, envelopes and more poison ivy goo (blech!)
- switched to honda and drove thru deluge to 12 oaks mall apple store to exchange a computer accessory that i bought the wrong version of (!) this was after trying once more to call Apple Tech Support for a return authorization: too much static to hear prompts, then unceremoniously disconnected. At 12 Oaks, careened through marshall field (no time for high-faluting clothes or perfume!), made a beeline for Apple and was outta there in about 5 minutes -- highly recommended store!
- exiting 12 oaks, irene (commie high pto pres) calls to arrange exchange of documents at her clothing boutique in kerrytown
- home for a few minutes, check email
- walk out to jeep to head off for meeting with irene but end up talking to hans & myra for a half hour. Hans looks great since major surgery!
- meeting & lots of chit-chat re school politics (always exciting in a2) with irene (her clothing store is better than marshall field but still no time for clothes)
- home again (finally!) and can't figure out if mouse is asleep or
came home and left again.... hate to wake her up if that's the case,
she didn't go to bed until at least 3 am
- label envelopes for YAG summer camp mailing
- take walk!
- mad dash to Nicola's Books for Reading Lolita in Tehran for someone who needed it yesterday (bleag!!!)
- dinner? omelets, i guess. geesh! what did i eat today? cereal i guess?
- laundry and pack for HL?
