santiago de compostela. important site of pilgrimage in the middle ages due to the supposed burial of saint james the apostle (i think saint james, i'm translating names here). now it's pretty much a holy tourist attraction. you guys would hate it =) i sort of did. it was EXTREMELY crowded because it was a sunday and a big vacation weekend. probably the second worst place we visited, although not nearly as bad as the seafood factory.... no pictures of that.
