My body does a weird(?) thing where it coughs, sneezes, or sniffles for a few minutes every day or two or four. I do NOT have allergies and these are not COLD SYMPTOMS (well, except when they are but they usually aren’t).

When I am in the Landfill Chitchen in the late afternoon blahgging and cooking and The Sniffles hit me (and if they’re gonna, late afternoon is usually when they do), the GG has taken to asking me if I am ALL RIGHT! In other words, am I crying about something? The answer is almost always NO NO NO NO NO. I AM NOT CRYING! I get asked this often enough that I proactively preempt queries like that with, “I’m sniffling a bit. It’s just random nasal stuff. It’ll go away in a few minutes.” And it does.

Yesterday my sniffles were of the crying variety. I mean, I wasn’t SOBBING or anything, just tearing up a bit. And sniffling. That time I preempted that my sniffles were related to a bit of crying but that I was okay, just processing. And processing something that seems like it might be a good thing.

Tonight I am sniffling but it’s of the random nasal end-of-day variety.
