damAaaand then there’s the flip side of the switch to standard time, Eastern Standard Time in our case. When I left work at around five this afternoon, I was driving by the airport and the sun was not far above the horizon. It had not set by the time I got home but it was on its way.

We were all laughing about this at work, albeit rather morbidly like most northerners do. FZ mentioned something about slipping on ice while running walking (he runs, I walk) and I made a mental note to make an inventory of how many pairs of YakTrax I have around here even though we hit 70 degrees today. I still need new winter boots. I encountered some Keens that I liked last weekend but wasn’t entranced with the fit. Yes, I have bunions. No, they are not candidates for surgery. Why? Because I can walk about a billion miles a day and they do not EVER hurt as long as I am wearing shoes/boots that do not stress them. If I have stiff boots / shoes that will not “break in”, they hurt. But I’m off on a tangent here.

I am still sitting in the empty building moom’s desk, at least some days. I sat there today. I kind of don’t mind it because I can do my own job from anywhere and in some ways, it’s almost easier because I am right next door to the LSCHP, so I can get to him quickly if I need his input on a design. I’m glad that a new building moom will join us in a couple weeks and I’m double-glad that I don’t have to train her. I’m guessing that the LSCHP will do the training and that’s fine but the kind of training my beloved boss provides works best with an extreme Self-Starter. Like me.

Titanium Pinky update? It’s been a long time since I’ve done an update (I think). She has been doing well for a long time but she seemed to make a quantum leap over the weekend that I cannot describe but she seems to be intent upon rejoining my right hand fully. We are still doing exercises and we will continue with those.

Bah, humbug on standard time. Let’s just stay on ONE! Our weather has gone chilly (40s and 50s) and rainy. I’m constantly chilly. It doesn’t help that I just got back from Africa or that our summer was full of 80 and 90 degree days. Glad to hear about TP progress!!
