50 Shades of Gray?

Lemme see… For those who might wonder where I am if I don’t post a blahg entry, I am here. I hung out at Cubelandia all day today and my job is loverly these days. Who knew that I would have such a sweet little job at a time of life when a lot of people are counting the days to retaaaarrrrment.

We switched between 50 Shades of Gray and Hogan’s Heroes re-runs after last night’s episode of Outlander. I was skeptical about 50 Shades and didn’t read the book and now that I have seen bits of the moooovie, I am even more skeptical. Do I want to read the book now? I dunno.

I did read Gone Girl (but didn’t see the mooovie). I was not impressed with the book one iota. I give it about two stars only because I kept reading it until the end. Alas, it left an extremely bitter taste in my palate. I didn’t identify with one single character. Every single one of them was a nincompoop in my opinion. And whatever happened to Go, twin sister of the male protagonist (if you can call him a protagonist)? The guy has a twin sister and she basically drops off the face of the earth. Why introduce her at all? Or did I miss something…

Oh well, I guess we are gonna queue up the next Outlander episode in the Monster Bedroom so I guess I better get going on back in there. Hope I can stay awake. G’night!

You and I were practically the only two who did NOT like Gone Girl. I feel the same as you. It left me angry and disgusted. I read a couple pages of 50 Shades and the writing was terrible. I can’t tolerate that.

D says I agree with Margaret.
