“It’s just more efficient to use *your* brain.”

So said the GG. It’s been 25 years as of today and he has finally figured that out. 😈 And then he asked The Commander who had made the neat little shelves upstairs by the girls’ beds. “*You* did!” she replied. The upstairs of the cabin was built 21 years ago when Lizard Breath was one and the shelves are probably a good 15 years old. Anyway, as I anticipated, it was not a very eventful 25th anniversary. Truthfully, I’ve been just a little sort of blue, not specifically about anything I can identify except maybe that thoughts about those who cannot be here are in the back of my mind. And that’s okay and I’m all right. If you get this far in life, there are things to be sad about, that’s just the way it goes. We began with rain today but eventually it was a semi-decent beach day, as you can see. When Radical Betty asked me why I hadn’t been kayaking much, I thought about it and said, “Well, first, there’s been a lot of wind and I was watching the dogs and also, well, I’m not really lazy but…” “Spacey?” she asked. Yeah. Spacey. Then I flung a kayak in and paddled over to Birch Point to see the osprey nest. There are about a gazillion people on the beach, some of them I actually recognize, some look like Piedmonts and/or McNaughtons but I don’t know who they are, some I cannot begin to figure out. There’s a beach picnic tomorrow, I will have to be un-shy enough to make a point to figure out who belongs to who. I think I have actually finally done myself in with walking, temporarily anyway. After *miles* of walking on a slant, the outer edge of my left foot hurts a bit. I was accused of limping today and, actually, I *was* limping. What did the GG do today? Puttered around the garage, took a nap, and read. I was more or less kicked out of the kitchen for most of the day by The Comm, Karen, and Valdemort. I think I will go and commandeer it for long enough to make a phlegm cutter or two. Click on the pics to enlarge them, the boat is the Ryerson, which went up today just to honor the occasion.

Happy Anniversary! I was thinking about you this AM, recognizing the date and all of its significance. Glad the day turned itself around to honour the occasion.

Happy Anniversary, yes yes!! But like all good photographers, you are not in the picture. Hand that camera over to the Froog or the Green Guy and have them take a few of you with Bill and family. Could be interesting!!

I love your current photos and postings, makes me feel like I could be there, and will be in mid-August.
Sleep out on the beach anyone?

When Bill says “*your* brain”, does that refer to using KW’s brain instead of GG’s, or GG’s brain instead of say, a calculator? Youth wants to know!

    Happy Anniversary!

p.s. Mark bought me a bike helmet as an early anniversary present for me. So who’s brain are we using there? I offered to buy his present at the bike store too, but he had something else in mind, so he’ll get his on Thursday, our actual day. (Carl and Jay’s too – Another Happy Anniversary!)

Belated Happy Anniversary. I remember a sunny day, a lovely ceremony with buckets of flowers, a walk down the beach. And more (like food).
