Aftermath

When the weather is warm and there’s no wind and there aren’t too many MOE-skee-TOES the moomindeck is the perfect place. And it was tonight. Some of us (over 21) had ‘hattans and one of us (age three) had fake ‘hattans (water, ice, and maraschino cherries). This freaked out their grandma (my long-suffering cousin) for a minute but I reassured her I would never make a ‘hattan for a three-year-old. I *have* been known to sneak a wee bit of whine to an older teenager. That then teenager’s mother approved though.

The party was basically over by the time this pic was taken. Small children had been put to bed in the Old Cabin and some of the rest of us retaaaared to Bill’s Birch Point Beach Bank Bench and its environs. The beach urchin in the pic went swimming for the second time since she arrived this afternoon. A couple other beach urchins went sailing and the GG took a motor bote out for a bit.

In other news, I took the laundry into the Up North Laundry today, dropped off the recycle, hit up Meijer, and cooked a filet mignon dinner. Or at least prepped it. The GG grilled the meat. I did everything else. The beach urchin washed the disheoshios and she is washing the windows there in the pic.

Quick and dirty blahg post and so g’night.

My dad would give me sips of his beer to dissuade me from liking it. Didn’t work. 🙂
