“Billow” and Mark
Mark is the grandpa and “Billow” (or something like that) is what his grandson calls the GG aka Bill. The GG has been called a bunch of things by people’s grandchildren. “Ball” is what his identical twin’s first child called him as an emerging talker. That kid is entering high school in the fall and is an athlete, fisherman, and girl magnet (I’m guessing at the last).
The GG’s arrival this evening after running a gauntlet of traffic jams and family members means I actually have my car back! Yay. Now, where is my fob? I must have asked about my fob a bazillion times before it finally materialized. Fob? FOB? FOB??? You know what a fob is? It’s that thingy that I put in my pocketses to make my modern automotive vee-hickle start when I push the button. Right? Right.
After a week of kvetching about the propane stove pilot light being out, OF COURSE the GG walked in to the moomincabin, turned up the stove and voila, let there be heat. I am such a klutz. Not that we need heat today. It was in the upper 70s this afternoon.
Now to get the GG to settle down for a few days at least.

I dread having John look at anything mechanical or electrical (although I appreciate him); he can get things “fixed” in no time. It makes me feel stupid and helpless at times. John never makes me feel that way; it’s just that I want to be more capable than I am.
