Rain and retrograde (but not)
This pic is actually Mr. Golden Sun making an attempt at trying to shine down on us. I know. You can’t even see him, can you? It rained ALL DAY. I am not complaining. I don’t mind rain, especially when I am here and it is warm outside. The “kids” worked (at their jobs) on the deck almost the entire day. I loved this. I longed for a job that would’ve allowed me to do that when I was their age. They had a plan to hike the Jim Fin after work today. It was almost kiboshed by tstorms but in the end, those all subsided and they were able to carry out their plan.
On the other hand, the GG and Mooon Yooonit are semi-maroooooned down at the Straits of Mackinac. All four of Mooon Yooonit’s wheel bearings are bad. The front bearings were fixed today in Cheboygan and the rear bearings will be fixed tomorrow. THEY HAVE THE PARTS! YAY! It can be difficult to get “foreign” (aka Japanese) vee-hickles fixed around here and sometimes parts have to be ordered. Please god or whoever, we do NOT have time for that kind of thing.
I initially found myself getting really annoyed, like why didn’t we get this fixed earlier in the summer, like on The Planet Ann Arbor, where a lot of people drive “foreign” (aka Japanese) vee-hickles and parts are easy to come by. But I settled myself down and am rolling with it. The GG is safely ensconced in a room at our fave Driftwood motel and restaurant in Iggy and has probably had an olive burger and a brew for dinner. We ate eggplant parm here and visited the folks at the Old Cabin after dinner. All is well.
Me? I ran errands in Sault Ste. Siberia this morning. What car did I use? Well, of course I took my own vee-hickle Cygnus X-1. The “kids” drove it up here because they were hauling up a mattress that wouldn’t fit in either of their cars. In the late afternoon, Little Cat Z asked, “Moom, are you bored?” Answer? I am almost never bored here and I was “reading” an audio book. Anyway, since Cygnus is here, I could’ve gone anywhere I wanted to.

The bearings are all bad! That seems unusual; is it a common issue for Japanese cars? Is that your Toyota? I get mixed up on which is which. We certainly need the rain here!
