Relentless Positive Action

Prop 1? Lost by a landslide. 4 to 1 anyone? This was not a surprise to most of the more rational voters around here and even the governor made some concessionary noises about it but that doesn’t mean he and the legislature won’t come up with something WORSE if it’s possible to do that. There is a history there. But rather than rant and rave about polly-ticks and roads and Governor @onetoughnerd and whatnot, here are some of the spring flowers that dot the little woods behind The Landfill. JITP, Trillium, Trout Lily, and I dunno the last beauteous blue one. Bubs prob’ly does and maybe she’ll comment if/when she gets around to reading blahgs this Friday. If not, that’s okay, we love Bubs anyway! (One of the nicknames my mother earned in her later years was The Trillium Bandit. I’ve told that story before. Maybe one of these days I’ll get bored enough with my blahg to tell it again.)

We seem to be having a bit of “summer” this May. We needed that and boy are we enjoying it. G’night, KW

All but the Jack-in-the -pulpit reside here, burt have not bloomed as yet. LOL. These by far are some of my favorites! I used to know the name of the blue flowers. They are behind the yellow cabin along with the spring beauties. Ain’t spring grand?

Those pics of those flowers are really sharp. The clarity is really wondrous. Kudos to the photographer. That extra lettering of that first one of the list is nice. But, “IT” it is not necessary. Thanks for the thought anyway. Glad that prop one went down. We’re getting our yard put back together after the city has gone through and ‘repaired’ our sidewalk. They did do a nice job.

We’ll be having summer too(the rest of the week and the weekend) and soon I’ll have to pick out annuals for the flower beds. Such a tough decision! Those are pretty flowers.

I think the blue ones are Stars of Bethlehem. Please jump in, Bubs, to corroborate or correct me.
