Person of the Day!
Karl, the computer lab aid (aide?). Why? For reuniting me with that cute little device in the picture. What is it? It’s a reader for a memory card. The memory card sticking out of it is a 1GB card for my digital camera. Together, they serve as a handy little flash drive for transferring files to and from school. So guess where I left it this morning? Stuck in the PC on my desk in my Flash class. I realized it when I got about half-way home. I tried *hard* not to panic. I knew if I turned around, there was a good chance that the room would be locked by the time I got there. I forced myself to continue home, looked up the hours for the classroom, figured out that it was locked *all* afternoon and that the room across the hall was used as a lab for the same duration. And (whew), I know both of the lab aids. Sure enough, when I got back over here for my evening class, Karl graciously unlocked the classroom and there was my drive right where I left it. This was not looking like it would be a good day but it is improving. At least it’s a better day than February 1, 2006 was.
P.S. Don’t forget to read my guest blahgger’s entry from earlier today.

There are good people in the world still. I left my wallet at Panera last Friday. got back to work before I realized it and had a panicked drive back there. and yes, it was behind the counter, safe and sound – nothing missing. whew! but oh, the adrenaline rush that you have until you find object x again!!
