In other news…
I can’t report my own voting experience. I mean, I already have, since it happened a few weeks ago. So I’ll report some other ones.
The GG dragged himself outta the rack at 0-skunk-30 and was the FIRST voter of the day at our backyard polling place! Another person actually got in to the building ahead of him but that person wanted to spoil their absentee ballot and so was shunted off into whatever byzantine procedures are involved with that. So the GG was first. I have to wonder where Mr. Mxyzptlk was this morning and whether he was the ballot spoiler.
I jumped into the shower as soon as the GG got out and was walking past the school/polling place around 6:15 or whatever. I saw VERY few people! There were a few cars in the parking lot but where was the long line out the door and down the sidewalk? I didn’t see the GG anywhere. He was already inside. I wore a mask even though social distancing was not an issue in any way, shape, or form. Solidarity and etiquette.
A relative who also voted at Haisley got there, hmmm, I’m not sure when, maybe 9-9:30-ish? Voter #92 and NO LINE!
These stories and my 0-skunk-30 observations tell me that most Planet Ann Arbor-ites voted absentee and/or early.
A friend who voted “out in the county” [read: semi-Trump country] was accused – by a “confused” person in line, not a poll worker – of trying to vote twice.
And now we wait… May your candidate win but mostly may MY candidate win because I’m not sure our country can stand four more orange years.
Oh, yeah, in other news? Blood Trail in the Landfill driveway this morning 👀👀👀

Fingers crossed. I’m no good at waiting but am working at distracting myself for a couple days. It will be hard to do.
