Food from a different house

I have to leave the moomincabin tomorrow. I have to pack up a bunch of food tomorrow. And garbage. And recycling. And all the returnable beer bottles that the grokkery stores up here don’t take. Moose Drool and whatever. I can fit all of that stuff in my vee-hickle this time. Last time I was up here, we were slammed with stuff. We had two vee-hickles and only four people but we still had to leave two whole big cans of garbage behind that the Mean Old Grunchy Old Grinchie volunteered to take to Waste Management. [Thank you.]

Anyway, my packing dreams have come true. Does that make them prescient dreams? Ho hum. It was not a beach day today. This morning, I walked the beach with our northern correspondent Paulette. We followed a little flock of sandpipers as they dodged the waves.

We had lots of adventures today but I spent the late afternoon sitting in the hollow in front of the Old Cabin. With NpJane. And whine. I was slacking. Long slog downstate tomorrow. Don’t really wanna go home…

You don’t sound like you want to leave!! We’re having some fantastic weather next week and I want to swap out one of our lousy summer weeks; is that possible? 😉 Moose Drool is from MT!!

Felt like cabin weather here this morning. 62 degrees and a strong wind out of the North when we started our walk. Hooray!!
