This sandhill crane hung out on the planters outside the Cubelandia lunchroom for probably 20 minutes or so. Its partner is there too but stayed on the ground. You can see it if you look carefully and/or embiggen the pic.

This event of course brought every iPhone in the building out. These are only a few of the folks (not including yers trooly) that took pics of the crane. We do not think the crane could see us inside the window but who knows.

I’ve been blahgging for a long time and there are days when I am not sure what the heck to write about. And then something like this happens. I can’t say I have a lot of words about it but I think the pics suffice.
