¡Atención Beach People!
I will be skulking in the general vicinity of Birch Point Beach Between August 1 or 2 and August 7, so take that into account in your summer vacation making plans, if at all possible so I can maximize my visiting time. I’m just finding that the Northern California Pacific isn’t as swimmable as good old Lake Superior for my purposes =)

In case anyone is confused, “Isa” is how they say Elizabeth in Spain and this Isa is Liz and those dates are when she’s coming back to Michigan this summer. She plans to spend most of her time at the beach with maybe one night in A2. I would too, if I were her. The Planet Ann Arbor is usually a hot swampy mess in the summer. So, what’re y’all doin’ this summer? If you don’t want to post your plans here, email them in.

First visit – in May.
Rey & I will be arriving in the UP around May 13th. I’ll be there for a few days, and Rey is staying.
The 3 remaining west-coasters of our family will be flying back to MI on July 19th. After we pick up the new Potter book in A2 we will be going north. Leaving back to Washington on August 11th, so we get to cross paths with Isa!

I feel like I should remember this but I don’t. Is Rey working in the Yoop this summer?

That’s the plan. He has spoken with LSSU. They have a test you have to take, so he can’t do that until he arrives, but will set up a time while we are on the way. He also looked at the historical type museums, but they are all volunteer positions. He is open to many different areas, but really doesn’t want food prep.

AHHH! I’ll try as hard as I can to be there, but I *might* have that job I’m hankering after with the Forest Service by then, which means I’ll be back at school.
